Read and Send Minecraft Chat From Your Phone

Read and send Minecraft chat from your phone: install the dashboard as an app, reply to whispers, run commands, and get alerts when your bot needs you.

Once a bot is online, the server's chat is available in your browser. This guide covers reading it, replying, and getting alerts on a phone.

Put the dashboard on your home screen

The dashboard works in any mobile browser, and it can also be installed as an app so it opens in its own window.

  • iPhone or iPad: open the site in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen.
  • Android: open the site in Chrome, open the menu, then Install app or Add to Home screen.

Read chat

Open your bot. The chat feed shows three kinds of lines in one place:

  • Player chat
  • System messages from the server, such as restarts and join messages
  • Whispers sent to your account

When you open the page, the last 50 lines are already there, so you can see what happened just before you looked.

Send messages and commands

Type in the box at the bottom and send. Anything starting with / is run as a command, exactly as if you typed it in the game: /msg, /home, /tpa, /server, and so on.

Your message goes out as your account. Other players cannot tell it came from a browser.

Save what you type often

In the Online Players sheet, tap the gear icon to open Chat Shortcuts. It lets you save two templates:

  • A mention template, inserted when you tap a player's name
  • A DM template, inserted when you use the DM action on a player

They save a lot of thumb-typing for things like /msg {player} brb.

Get alerts on your phone

In Settings, turn on browser push. Every plan gets an alert when a bot stops and cannot get back on its own. Link Discord and stay in our Discord server to get the same alert as a direct message.

With a Tip boost or a subscription, the bot's Plugins page adds more:

  • Chat Alerts for mentions of your name, whispers, and keywords you choose
  • Event Alerts when the bot dies, runs low on health, runs out of food, or pops a totem
  • Player Watch when a player you name joins or leaves

These arrive as push notifications and, with Discord linked, as direct messages.

What costs extra

Chat and commands are on the Free plan. The players list, inventory, radar, server menus, and the alert plugins above need a Tip boost or a subscription. See Plans, or Features for what each tool does.
