Getting started
What is AFK Minecraft?
A hosted Minecraft client. Your account connects to the server you choose from our machines, so it stays online with your PC switched off. You watch and control it from any browser.
Do I need to keep my PC or this tab open?
No. The bot runs on our servers, so closing the tab or shutting down your PC does not disconnect it. On the Free plan it stays online until your daily AFK time runs out.
Guide: Stay online with your PC offHow do I start my first bot?
Create a free account, open Accounts, and choose Add Account. Pick a server or type its address, then sign in with Microsoft or type an offline username.
Open the dashboardGuide: Set up a free AFK botDoes it play the game for me?
No. The bot stays connected, uses Anti-AFK so it is not kicked for idling, and sends the commands you saved. It does not mine, build, or fight for you.
Account & safety
Is my Minecraft account safe?
Each bot runs in its own isolated session and credentials are stored encrypted. Microsoft sign-in uses the official device-code flow, so we never see your password.
Why does Microsoft sign-in show a code?
That is the device-code flow. You copy a short code, enter it on Microsoft’s own sign-in page, and approve the sign-in there. Your password goes to Microsoft only. The code expires after a few minutes, and you can request a new one.
Is AFK Minecraft allowed on servers?
It is a hosted client that connects your own account to the servers you choose, and it does not modify the game. Whether AFK accounts are allowed depends on each server’s rules, so read them before you connect.
Can I use an offline (cracked) account?
Yes, on servers that run in offline mode. Add the bot with the offline option and pick a username. Servers that verify accounts with Microsoft will reject it, so use Microsoft sign-in there.
Servers & versions
Which Minecraft versions work?
Minecraft Java 26.2 only. The version is detected automatically, so there is nothing to pick. If a server runs a different version, it rejects the bot and the dashboard shows a version error.
Does it work on Bedrock servers?
No. AFK Minecraft is a Java Edition client, so Bedrock servers are not supported. The dashboard says so if you enter a Bedrock port such as 19132.
What happens when the server restarts?
The bot reconnects on its own after server restarts and network drops, so you do not need to start it again. If the server stays down, the dashboard shows it as unreachable.
Guide: How auto-reconnect worksMy server needs /login or /register. Will it work?
Yes. The Server Login plugin on the bot’s Plugins page answers a login or register window with your password, and it can also send your /login command in chat. A new account on a chat-login server has to be registered once by you with /register.
Bots & features
Can I chat from my phone?
Yes. The dashboard works in any browser, so you can read and send in-game chat from a phone, tablet, or computer.
Guide: Minecraft chat from your phoneHow many bots can I run at once?
1 bot online at a time on Free, Tip boost and Starter. Plus runs 3 at once and Pro runs 8. Saved bots: 3 on Free, 5 on Starter and Tip boost, 15 on Plus, and unlimited on Pro.
Compare plansCan I get alerts on Discord?
Yes, as direct messages from our Discord bot. Link Discord to your account and stay in our Discord server. Every account gets a DM when a bot stops for good. With a Tip boost or any subscription, Chat Alerts (mentions, whispers, keywords), Event Alerts (death, low health, no food, totem pop) and Player Watch also send DMs. Every alert also arrives as a push notification if you turn those on.
Why does my bot get kicked for idling?
Many servers kick players who stand still. Keep Anti-AFK turned on in the bot’s settings so it looks around or sneaks on an interval. If it is still kicked, the server probably has its own AFK rules, so check them or ask its staff.
Guide: Anti-AFK settings explainedCan I see my bot’s inventory?
Yes, with a Tip boost or a subscription. Inventory, world preview, the players list, server menus, running macros, and plugins like Auto Eat and Chat Alerts are premium tools. Free includes live chat, the activity history, and building macros.
Plans & billing
Is it really free?
Yes. Free gives you 15 min of AFK time per day, or 3 hours if you have joined our Discord server. The daily limit resets at midnight UTC. A Tip boost or a subscription removes it.
See what each plan includesTip boost or subscription: which one?
A Tip boost is a one-time Ko-fi tip. $4 gives 30 days of unlimited AFK with Starter limits (1 bot and the premium tools), and repeat tips stack. Plus and Pro run more bots at once and save more accounts, macros, server profiles, and proxies. If you only need one bot online all day, a Tip boost is enough.
View plansCan I get a refund?
Refund rules are on the Refund Policy page. For a billing problem, open a ticket if you have a Tip boost or a subscription, or ask in our Discord server.

My bot keeps disconnecting
Check the bot’s activity history for the reason. Common causes: your daily AFK time ran out, the server is full or offline, the server kicked the bot, or the Microsoft sign-in needs to be linked again. The dashboard suggests a fix for each one.
The Microsoft code expired
Codes only work for a few minutes. Press New code in the sign-in dialog, enter the new code on Microsoft’s page, and approve the sign-in before it runs out.
The dashboard says “auth required”
Your Microsoft sign-in is no longer valid. Use Re-link your Microsoft account on the bot, finish the code sign-in again, then start the bot.
